how do you start a boarder??? do you have to have it when you start? and the boarder always stays the same stitch as a knit right? only the inside changes? im very new.

Love the video! I watched other videos about this exact same stitch and you gave way more information than anyone else did. Thank you!

Hello, i want to put a border on a neck warmer. the neck warmer is already done. How do i ADD a boarder? i am a beginner; show me a very simple way to ADD a border to my already finished neck warmer. Thank you

Hi, I dont see my comment, so i will leave another one. I am a beginner and i made a neck warmer; now i want to put a boarder on it w/a different color yarn. Do i just make panels and then crochet them on to my neck warmer? or can i just add/stitch a boarder all the way around my neck warmer until i get the width i want? does this make sense? thank you very much and i love your video, i think you are very informative and you explain the steps nicely. if you do go too fast i just rewind. and you set the camera nicely and close to the project. thank your for all you do. i appreciate you and your videos.

Why do you slip the first stitch before the purling side? Is that how you are supposed to do the stockinette stitch? Or is that for the border?

Yes, I agree. For a tutorial, you're going extremely fast. It's pretty and just what I'm looking for but if you want someone to get anything outta your video, please slow down.

Hi. Im a first time knitter, and am trying to do squares with borders like yours, but to make patches for a blanket. I want to have 30 stitches in total across, so knitted 6 each side for the border, and purling 18 stitches for the middle. As for the top and bottom rows, I thought 30 rows would make it square, (30 x 30) but it didnt. I am even up to 34 rows and it is still wider than the height. Does anyone know how to work squares out? I cant really keep going higher, as my border will be more on the top than the bottom. Would be much appreciated. Thanks 🙂
