Helping a seamstress in need

October 23, 2019

My name is Oxana. I immigrated to Israel in 2000. and I have four children. When our family came to Israel, we had many difficulties. We didn’t really have anyone here, so we felt all alone. It took a year to find other believers. We had to drive all the way to Haifa to meet them. We felt so inspired; it was like breath of fresh air. But on our way back home we got into an accident. For three days it was unclear
whether I would live or not. It was a miracle I recovered. After that I opened my sewing business. I did alterations, made evening dresses and costumes. The business picked up and I was
able to support our entire family. However, the success was hard for my husband to accept. He stopped helping at home, and he wasn’t working. I worked from 2 till 7am, would get the kids ready for school and go back to work until 8pm. I had no rest, was depressed
and physically exhausted. The physical strain injured my back and one of my legs became paralyzed so I couldn’t walk. When everything in my life
was crumbling around me, the thing that held me together was the great love I have in my heart for God. I simply indescribably love Him and know that He never leaves me. I was now alone with four children, a huge debt and unpaid loans. And my sewing machine broke. I submitted a request for help to IstandwithIsrael. Their help not only fixed my machine but also gave me new energy and joy and a desire to work again. From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful to I Stand With Israel. Thank you so much! May the Lord bless you, and may you always have the ability to help others and receive a blessing for it from God.
